Sweater’s got a new attitude and so should you.

While I’ll forever be a fan of those chunky knits and wool cardy-stand-bys, this fall has launched some serious sweater contenders. What I love? They’re cool and effortless.

So put down that Gap crewneck (yawn) and score some major attention in one of these cozy sweater looks:

(1) Myne ‘Zac’ Faux Fur Sweater, Available at Nordstroms, $188 (2) Knitted Faux Fur Coatigan, TOPSHOP, $388

Fur is reinvented in these sweaters by Myne and Top Shop that have a whole lotta glamour and attitude. Just repeat the mantra: they will be Myne, oh yes, they. will. be. Myne.

(1) Nights Of Armour Top, French Connection, £90 (2) Steph sequined jersey cardigan, Alice + Olivia, $495

Joan Collins always knew how to make an entrance. Joan Collins also wore sequins. Coincidence? I think not.

Sequins are here to stay. Hopefully this pretty number from French Connection will come to the U.S., but I’ll be a happy girl with this Alice + Olivia shiny cardi.

(1) Knitted Lace Stripe Top, TOPSHOP, $80 (2) Velvet by Graham & Spencer Heathered Slinky Cardi, $123

Perhaps being a child of the eighties and re-watching Madonna’s Like A Virgin video a hundred times has pounded into my head the need for all things lace. Sexy, feminine, pretty—these sweaters by Topshop and Velvet by Graham and Spencer are definitely not made with your grandmother’s lace.
