When it comes to bold color, prints, and texture, Missoni has it covered.
The famous Italian knitwear brand has released M Missoni, their pre-fall 2012 lower priced diffusion collection that combines retro glam with the bookish librarian to create some amazing sex appeal.
M Missoni’s girl is today’s Factory Girl clad in sweet bobby socks, spunky kitten heels, and cool psychedelic prints. Inspired by the fifties and sixties, the pre-fall line is a mash up of textures and prints that have been seamlessly transitioned into modern day wear.
This collection isn’t afraid to play with colors, as mustard yellows, browns, muted blues and greens make an appearance; and the color combinations are a cacophonic adaptation of the beatnik generation.
The collars are high and the hemlines are playful. From A-line dresses to printed separates that are perfect for layering, Missoni’s collection shows us what it would’ve been like if Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick made it work, and had a girl that’s all grown up.
