Just like the seasons, young Hollywood has a way of coming in shifts. Although by the time spring rolls around, we may be bombarded with the faces of Hollywood’s newest starlets, ‘til then we’ll just have to enjoy Chloë Moretz’s go at the spotlight.
Moretz, 14, is most famed for her roles in gritty films like the 2010 superhero flick Kick-Ass and her role as a child vampire in the widely acclaimed Let Me In, a U.S. remake of the Swedish film Let the Right One In. It’s work like this that has set Moretz apart in a sea of homogenous young Hollywood hopefuls. Perhaps that’s why she was chosen as this month’s cover girl for Interview Magazine.
Inside the issue, Moretz’s editorial—photographed by Mikael Jansson—plays up the visual discrepancies between her and NFL linebacker Curtis Johnson. A stunning and almost unrecognizable Moretz strikes several poses with Johnson, a 6-foot-3 ‘bodyguard.’
Although the photographs look somewhat comical at times, the contrast between the actress and linebacker—in more ways than one—create a striking effect. Both can be seen wearing looks from Calvin Klein, Prada, Balenciaga and Valentino.
