Turning everyday household items into fashion pieces seem to be the new fad lately.

But this photo shoot for Madame magazine takes the cake for most innovative fashion design. For its editorial themed “Paper Dresses,” models wear giant origami-styled dresses fashioned from multi-colored A3 sheets of paper.

The art director and photographer Matthew Brodie insisted that the only tools allowed to be used on the shoot were paper and scissors, and the end result is nothing short of amazing.

In examining the photos, we can see one dress fanned out to form a tutu, and another skin tight mini dress made from cut out strips of multi-colored paper.
