Gone are the days of when wearing “eco-fashion” meant that you were “out of fashion”.

In the latest on sustainable apparel, H&M has announced the launch of the H&M Conscious Collection, an apparel line born out of the retailer’s focus on sustainability.

The collection, which was made from environmentally-adapted and greener materials such as organic cotton, will be available for women, men, and children in H&M stores worldwide beginning April 14, 2011.

And lucky for you, we’ve got first look at the collection!

We’ve also picked a few stand-outs that we think might be worth the trip to your local H&M retailer come April.

You’ll find romantic simple separates, adorable babydoll dresses with lace and broderie anglaise detailing,  scallops hems on shirts and shorts, fringe, and shades of white, which is apparently the “new” black.

Prices range from from $12.95 for an organic cotton top to $59.95 for a dress.
