Lady Gaga in Philip Treacy Hat

Will Lady Gaga follow in Kanye West’s footsteps to become the next musician to intern at a fashion house?

The answer is a resounding yes. That is, according the Philip Treacy, the legendary milliner that Gaga might be interning for.

In an interview with The Observer, Treacy responds to rumors that the modern day pop princess has plans to intern at his millinery, saying “She plans to. She’s already visited me. This is what happened: one Monday morning, four burly bodyguards arrived – Lady Gaga’s security team – to check out the security of the building. I looked at them as if to say: what?! Who is going to take a pot shot at Lady Gaga? Anyway, she is young, talented and peculiar – which I like. The Brit awards were the next night and she said to her people (I loved this): “Can somebody buy me some brown underwear for tomorrow?”

Treacy is known for his wild and eccentric hats and has an impressive list of clients including Isabella Blow, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, Ralph Lauren, and Princess Beatrice, who recently wore one of his designs at Kate Middleton’s and Prince William’s nuptials earlier this year.

With Treacy’s out-of-this-world-designs and Lady Gaga, well,  just being out-of-this-world, we can wait to see what these two come up with!
