Ricky’s NYC, the funky, one stop shop for everything beauty, is expanding.

Ricky’s has toyed with the idea for years, with locations in Manhattan and Miami, but now they plan to open stores as far west as California.

“[In the past], we’ve always had street-level stores. Now, we are mostly focused on mall-based stores,” said Todd Kenig, Ricky’s chief executive officer told Women’s Wear Daily.

Ricky’s NYC big plans for 2012 include five to eight mall-based stores opening in Boston, Miami, Los Angeles and Orlando, to name a few, said Kenig. The goal for 2013 is to open an additional 10 to 20 stores. “Hopefully, by 2016 we’ll have 100 locations.”

Each of the new stores will uphold Ricky’s unique salon concept, featuring a clean, sophisticated look to the popular beauty store.
