If you’re like me, you’re probably more excited about the fashion of the Golden Globe Awards than the winners.

Last night we got to see top stylists reveal their work on notable celebrities that walked the red carpet.  The result was a glorious display of beautiful gowns, exquisite jewelry, and exposed trends that we’ll probably see over the next several months in retail stores across the country.

I’m guessing that Helena Bonham Carter’s “mismatched shoe” look probably won’t be catching on anytime soon.

Trends prevalent on last night’s Golden Globe Red Carpet were one-shouldered dresses, ruche detailing, sequins, caped arm dresses, ruffles, beaded chiffons and understated minimalism that was brilliantly defined by Emma Stone’s Calvin Klein look. We also saw shades of green, peach, champagne and blush, and overall, there were more successes than failures.

Since most of us don’t have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on one look, and the gown occasion is not one that comes often, we’re bringing you every day evening looks inspired by our top Golden Globe Red Carpet picks.

Take a peek below at MO’s red carpet picks  re-constructed to more affordable and wearable options.

Kyra in A Tangerine Dream

One of our favorite looks last night was the one worn by Kyra Sedgwick in a tangerine Emilio Pucci ruffled detailed dress.  We love that Kyra took a risk with color, which we see so little of on the red carpet. Love her. Love the dress.
