This past Friday, Annapolis native Christian Siriano and local designers teamed up with Pink Jams! for a collaborative fashion show at the very grand and beautiful Ronald Reagan International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.
The Pink Rocks the Runway charity event silhouetted a Fashion Week experience, with a reception, complimentary gift bags, hors d’oeuvres, pink Vitamin Water, and cocktails. Local rock band the Charm City Devils also made an appearance and performed for the crowd.
The runway show began with a video presentation of the designers preparing for the event and footage of the breast cancer survivors going through cancer treatment. The women featured in the video also walked the runway during the fashion show in a special presentation in which each survivor wore a pink dress designed by local fashion designer.
At the conclusion of the high-energy evening, Pink Jams! presented to former First Lady of Washington, DC, Michelle Cross Fenty, a $30,000 grant to benefit the Capital Breast Care Center.
