With this month’s W magazine featuring Elle and Dakota Fanning as its cover girls,  the glossy continues to celebrate sisterhood in their latest spread entitled “Soul Sisters,” an editorial that pays homage to one of the most lovely and complex relationships a girl can have.

Some of Hollywood’s biggest names like Blake Lively, Zoë Saldaña and Julianne Moore, along with their siblings, sat down for interviews discussing what makes their sisterhood so special.

Shot by Max Vadukul, in true W form, the spread includes several images of the sisters dressed in looks from Chanel, Burberry Prorsum, Marc Jacobs, Edie Borgo, and Lanvin among many others.

In this spread, Vadukul has managed to produce the perfect combination of glamour and whimsy. The looks, styled by Giovanna Battaglia and Patrick Mackie, were perfectly tailored to each of the sister sets’ original personalities. Some of the shots were in black and white, while others in vivid color.

While the pictures themselves are showstoppers, writer Lynn Hirchberg has taken a thoughtful look into each of these intimate relationships; and although each set of siblings are unique, the common bond is undeniable. Through each of these interviews, Hirchberg offers us some bit of divine insight into what it means to truly be sisters. Read more here.
