The music world is still reeling from the loss of soulful powerhouse Amy Winehouse.
Though her life seemed to be on a downward spiral for the past couple of years, there were still faithful fans waiting in the wings for Miss Winehouse’s comeback.
However, after the singer was found dead in her London home at the age of 27, it seemed like that would never come to fruition.
However, according to the BBC, a duet that Winehouse recorded with legendary singer Tony Bennett would be released in September. The song is titled “Body and Soul” and would be included on Bennett’s upcoming album “Duets II.”
The track is fitting in its legendary status, as it was written back in 1930 and since covered by hundreds of artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Billie Holliday. The pair recorded their version of the track at Abbey Road Studios in London.
In addition, the proceeds will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which will aid families struggling with substance abuse.
