It’s officially happening, folks. Maison Martin Margiela, arguably one of the most influential designers of our time, is confirmed as the next designer collection with Swedish retailer H&M.
Although rumors have been circling for some time, H&M confirmed yesterday, in a press release and video, that they are in fact collaborating with the avant-garde French fashion house.
Maison Martin Margiela, which was purchased in 2002 by Diesel founder Renzo Russo, is mostly known for their deconstructed collections and dramatic shapes and silhouettes.
On November 15, the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection—which promises a “new interpretation” of their vision – will hit 230 H&M stores worldwide as well on hm.com.
At a time when collaborations seem to be all too commonplace in the fashion and beauty industry, this is one collaboration that we can get behind.
