The Kiledjian Autumn/Winter 2012 collection was beyond clothing and statement, but transportation to another world—a world in which Kiledjian appears to have outfitted every event and situation in texturally different contexts while remaining loyal to his original futuristic platform.
Shiny metal ball buttons were repeated details on his pieces like floating silver orbs. Sheaths were plentiful, but the skintight brushed wool and leather cut-out dresses nuanced sexuality with a certain, if not, burning modesty.
Tightly wound hair and unnaturally black brows made the models look like 22nd century businesswomen. But all work and no play makes a dull girl, and the Kiledjian futuristic world also featured heart-stopping luxe perfect for a party floating in the spatial nebulas of Gotham City.
A coordinate of bright leather pants and an unforgettable red fur and leather coat is the Kiledjian businesswoman finally out on the town. A black hip to neck built-in leather harness dress was astounding as was Kiledjian’s use of dark fur to accent the shoulders of leather mini-dresses.
A quilted high collar leather jacket proves that quilted leather may prove to survive the trend from Fall 2011 to Fall 2012.
