Glamour Meets Green with H&M’s Exclusive Conscious Glamour Collection

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ollywood’s award season is as much as a fashion spectacle as it is a television and film industry event. Leading up to the red carpet appearances, the anticipation builds as fashion enthusiasts around the world ponder who will be wearing whom.

When we finally get to watch young starlets walk the red carpet wearing their “borrowed” finest, it leaves us wishing that we could afford a similar look, or be BFF’s with Zac Posen and Sarah Burton.

And thanks to H&M, our wish may have been just granted.

As part of their 2012 Conscious Collection, the Swedish retail empire is releasing its “Exclusive Glamour Collection,” a selection of gowns and eveningwear inspired by celebrities looks on the red carpet.

Besides looking good, one can also feel eco-conscious while wearing an outfit from this collection, as each piece is derived from sustainable materials such as organic cotton, hemp and recycled polyester.

How glamorous and green!

H&M’s “Exclusive Glamour Collection”  is gaining credibility due to many celebrities endorsing it thus far. Michelle Williams, Amanda Seyfried, Kristin Davis, and Viola Davis have all been seen in looks from this collection.

Separate pieces for children and men can be found within the collection, making it a glamorous occasion for the whole family.

Starting April 12th, the collection will be available at 100 select H&M stores worldwide and on Most pieces are available for under $100.

We are absolutely in love with the McQueen-esque column dress with ruffles galore and the floral body-con dress, which reminds us of a Mary Katrantzou creation.

Take a look at the gallery below and let us know which are your  favorite looks from the collection.
