These days, it seems like everyone is taking a nostalgic journey back to the 60s.
With YSL’s new rollback to the 60s, to the resurgence of shift dresses and mod madness, it’s clear that we’re in a 60’s haze.
Not only is the 60s movement taking hold of fashion, but fast food chains like McDonald’s are also embracing the trend with newly designed 60s inspired uniforms.
Designed by Wayne Hemingway, who was inspired by the mod movement and TV show ‘Mad Men,’ the new uniforms will feature elements like skinny ties, scarfs, pencil skirts and Fred Perry polo shirts.
The uniform also departs from the signature McDonald’s baseball caps. “We wanted to break away from baseball caps. These are more bakers caps or something you’d find in an pizzeria in Italy. I have a thing about baseball caps – they are a little bit too American, and they are about sport and petrol pump attendants” Hemingway told the Telegraph.
The uniforms are expected to roll out to 87,500 McDonald’s workers in the UK this autumn.
