Pixie Geldof Curates Spring/Summer Collection for Topshop

Model, socialite and singer Pixie Geldof is a muse and fashion icon to the British, so it was only natural for her to curate a sweet and grungy collection for Topshop.

Geldof is the current celebrity on Topshop’s edited section, which is a handpicked selection of curated Topshop fashion picks. The different curators provide customers with different styling options that they wouldn’t normally consider, as well as highlight a few favorite pieces.

This time around, the selection of apparel and accessories are picks that Geldof, herself, would don on the streets of London. The sweet, laid back pieces make everyday wear effortlessly chic.

The collection features loose fitting knitted sweaters, boyfriend blazers and jackets, and parkas that provide a perfect compliment to the girly pieces, like the orange embellished shift and lattice dresses, high-waisted skinny jeans, a front midi dress and a sleeveless Peter Pan collared shirt.

The standout pieces are the pink and white embroidered mesh maxi dress, a Co-ord Boucle Biker Jacket that has playful, faux leather detailing, and a pair of embellished gem jubilee jewel print crop jeans, an obvious nod to the Queen’s Jubilee.

While one could argue that the singer of  Violet is almost a novelty in the U.K., her chosen accessories have more of a novelty, playful feel to them—see-through plastic rimmed sunglasses, Union Jack printed socks, faux snake frame bag, and a light, lacy hot pink bra are what make up the toppings to this curated collection. Most of the shoes consist of wedges that were sparkly, animal print, and striking  silver metallic wedges.

Pixie Geldof clearly has quite the eye for mixing and matching masculine and feminine pieces, which is no surprise as the collection is clearly her, and being herself seems to be what she’s best at.

Pixie’s Edited collection is currently on sale at topshop.com as well as at the dedicated mini-boutique in the Oxford Circus Top Shop flagship store at 286 Regent Street from June 1-15.
