The fashion world has been inundated with buzz revolving around Dior and its empty creative director position.

Recently, Meets Obsession reported that Raf Simons, creative director of German minimalist brand Jil Sander is rumored to have been tapped to fill the coveted spot, leaving Jil Sander without a creative director at its helm.

Enter Jil Sander herself, after almost four decades, the bashful visionary absconded her role as the architect of the eponymous label in 2005, that was until the International Herald Tribune reported that she has decided to give it another go.

This announcement was a shock to many, as Sander’s departure from the brand was less than amicable after the Prada Group took a 75% stake in the Jil Sander label. After a somewhat on-again-off-again relationship with  her line, she subsequently cut all ties and began consulting with the Japanese company Uniqlo.

Her transition from high fashion to fast fashion was relatively seamless, serving as just another testament to her vision and talent. Although there has been no official confirmation from her camp, reps from Jil Sander assured that they would announce the new, or perhaps, not-so-new creative director in the coming days.

Even though it’s been speculated that Simons is heading to Dior, there is still no confirmation.
