From left to right – Spring RTW: Peter Som, Nanette Lepore, Ruffian, Rag & Bone
Neon has arrived with a bang and it’s making a loud, startling statement.
There’s no doubt that the popular 80s neon hues have made a comeback this summer. And after all the nude we’ve seen in the past few seasons, a bit of color is definitely a refreshing change.
Saturated color was spotted at Nanette Lepore, Ruffian, Rag & Bone and Peter Som. From the ultraviolet lipstick and vivid color mixing, to the brighter-than-brightly crafted handbags and eye-popping color blocking, every neon look was truly electrifying.
There aren’t too many styling rules for this fun trend. Mixing neutrals is surely safe, but you truly have fun when you choose neon on neon.
Go to the extremes by color blocking or go for a toned-down look by simply using a pop of neon—it’s totally up to you!
So, how can you rock this trend without looking like a walking highlighter?
