This summer, put your best foot forward and step out in style with the classic, open-back shoe.

The old is new again with a decorative makeover for the new season.

On the S/S 12 runways, Oscar De la Renta revealed reinvented mules that were adorned with intricate gold beading in renaissance-reminiscent silhouettes, while Fendi had their models stepping out in slick, sailing stripes, and Missoni opted for their signature chevron prints.

Louis Vuitton matched their pastel collection to pointed mules with silver, metallic straps and toes, while Rochas and Acne showcased their styles in chunky platform mules with a seventies vibe.

So this summer,  forget the old dated mule that your mom wore back in the 70’s, and slip into spring’s new shoe trend with our picks, all of which will ensure that your tootsies get the attention they deserve!
