This is not the first time that Mrs. Beckham has collaborated with Net-a-Porter. Last November, Beckham produced a 60s mod-infused, chic and playful collection that was inspired by “Emily the Strange,” which ultimately proved that she has some serious designing chops. This time around, she continues to prove her talent with this classic, yet playful and whimsical collection.
The six-piece capsule collection is comprised of dresses that feature a wide palette of colors and fabrics. The smart, ultra-feminine silhouettes come in dusky pink, emerald green, navy, and ivory colors that are made from transitional fabrics, such as silk and stretch-wool. This collection can easily be worked from season to season and from day to night.
The dress shapes are minimal, with 60s inspired shift dresses dominating most of the looks. The collection features a simple 20s inspired pleated dress, a sexy sleeveless, silk mini with pouch pockets, a classic Jacquard Cocoon Mini Dress and a shift-wool dress that comes in apple-green and antique rose.
A dropped-waist-wool dress are among the standouts, as it has that “go-to-dress” potential—just pair it with flats and an outfit is already complete.
Red carpet style stars like Michelle Williams, Jennifer Lawrence and Olivia Palermo have been spotted wearing Beckham’s trademark silhouettes, which is impressive, as the Victoria, Victoria Beckham line is less than year old.
If you’re at all familiar will Beckham’s little Gucci dress-wearing Spice Girl days, you will know that she has a natural penchant for fashion and style—one that seems to keep on expanding.
