If you’ve seen a TV ad for Internet Explorer 9 in the last several months, then you’ve probably heard the soulful vocals of British singer/songwriter Alex Clare, whose song “Too Close” recently gained international fame.  Since the IE 9 ad debuted in March, Clare’s dubstep-infused song has reached No. 1 on the German charts and is among the Top 10 on the US Billboard.

In an effort to promote his latest album, “The Lateness of the Hour,” Clare made a detour at DC’s 9:30 Club to perform for one evening. And we were there to catch it all.
