The word on the street is that punk is the new black. With the 2013 Costume Institute “PUNK: Chaos To Couture” exhibit opening soon, and the Met Gala approaching on May 6th, fashion is in a punk state of mind.

But it doesn’t stop with the exhibits, designers are on a punk rock mission, too.

On May 2, Moda Operandi will launch a punk collection that will include 100 items by designers such as Givenchy, Balmain, Prabal Gurung, Rodarte, and Vivienne Westwood.

Charlotte Olympia and Tom Binns have joined forces to collaborate on a punk-inspired capsule collection, which will include a clutch (Pandora) and a platform shoe (Dolly Riot), among other accessories. Each item from the limited-edition collection will retail from $1334 to $1490 and will be available at  charlotteolympia.com beginning May 2.
