Matthew Williamson To Collaborate With Ballantyne Cashmere

Matthew Williamson — the reigning king of bright, flirty separates, trippy prints and vivid detailing — will collaborate with luxury cashmere brand Ballantyne Cashmere to design a one-off capsule collection.

With the temperatures dipping into the lower twenties, we are still in a colder state of mind—which is why this is the perfect time to learn about this possibly-genius collaboration.  We also hear the collab will  feature womenswear and menswear. Hurray for fashion equality!

“We are thrilled with the choice of Matthew Williamson as creative director of this capsule collection,” said Ballantyne Cashmere CEO Franco Natalucci. “In addition to our British roots, both brands share a genuine love of quality and luxury workmanship.”

One thing’s for sure:  if anyone can make a cashmere sweater fun and sexy, it would be Matthew Williamson.

The 10-piece Matthew Williamson for Ballantyne Cashmere autumn/winter 2013-14 will appropriately have its debut during Milan Fashion Week.

We can’t wait.
