After many seasons witnessing clashing prints on the runway, we finally get to take a departure from the trend.  Instead of purposely mixing ill-matched prints, Fall/Winter 2013 is all about  coordinating and color matching.

For those of us who never got the mismatch trend or felt that strategically clashing your prints was more of an  effort than actually matching them, you can take a big sigh of relief. The all-over print  trend will be continuing well into Spring 2014, as recently seen on the New York and London runways.

Moschino Cheap and ChicMarc Jacobs and Erdem showcased matching looks with the boldest of beautiful prints, which were definitely not for the faint-hearted.

When creating an all-over print look,  a generous dose of confidence is needed. But trust, the effort is well worth it because, when choosing the right print combination,  you will look absolutely striking. Just ask Gwyneth Paltrow, who recently wore an all-over Erdem look that we absolutely loved.

If you want to take baby steps into this look, we recommend a blazer and trousers (or skirt) combination. You can break things up by adding a top in a solid color, or you can up the ante and go for an all-over print tailored suit. It’s surprisingly easy to wear and will work on almost any body type.

Now go out and put your best matched outfit forward.
