The nerds and geeks of the world have their annual Star Trek convention,  while indie music lovers have Austin’s SXSW. There’s also Comic-Con, where comic book lovers flock annually to learn about Marvel’s and DC Comics’ newest movie of the moment.

Now it looks like those obsessed with all things Sanrio will get their own chance at a convention in the form of Hello Kitty Con 2014.

Taking place on Oct 30 to Nov 2 at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), the first-ever Hello Kitty convention will celebrate Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary with four days of special guest appearances, art, panels, workshops, lectures, food, interactive experiences and more.

Tickets are currently on sale and range from $20 to $30 for all-day passes.

Unfortunately, if you don’t live in Los Angeles, you’ll have to do some major traveling to get there. But based on what we’ve heard so far, it’ll be way worth it.

Besides, if you’re traveling from overseas, you’ll have opportunity to catch a flight on this purrfect Sanrio option.
