Nike X Liberty: Liberty Dunk Floral Sneakers

Nike X Liberty: Liberty Dunk Floral SneakersThis one is for all of the girly girls who are fierce on the court or field. Just for you, Nike and Liberty London have teamed up once again to create  the world's cutest sneaker.

You can now ditch your plain, white and-most of the time-unflattering tennis shoes! Throw those things out and replace them with one of the many floral patterned Liberty Dunks available to you this summer.

Fashioned from a similar Liberty Dunk shoe released in 2008, both Nike and Liberty felt that it was time to give the line a fresh new look.

Interestingly enough, Nike drew inspiration for the shoes after visiting the historic Liberty store. Once school department store, Liberty is located in a very old Tudor building at the center of London.

Inside the store,  you'll find their traditional all-over prints, the same prints used in their second collaboration with Nike. Together, they sifted through Liberty's 43,000 (yikes!) patterns before deciding on the final prints.

The result of their hard labor?

Twelve reinvented pairs of the Liberty Dunks, making this their largest sneaker collection yet!

Nike X Liberty: Liberty Dunk Floral Sneakers

Liberty Dunks are the ultimate girly girl sneaker. Which is such a relief because, when it comes to Nike, cuteness isn't exactly a top priority. But these high-top, floral kicks have a soft, feminine edge to them without losing their sporty look.

There's just one catch. These are only sold in London. Of course they are, why wouldn't they be? Right? And this is where the magic of online shopping comes into play, because they are luckily available here.

All Aboard! Marc Jacobs X Peseta Sailor Backpack

Marc Jacobs X Peseta Sailor Backpack

I just love collaborations, don't you?

Marc Jacob’s S/S 2011 collection is enough for a mini fashgasm, but the collaboration between Marc Jacobs and the Spanish line Peseta in creating the ultimate sailor backpack might just give you a double-fashgasm.

With the help of Madrid-based Peseta, the Marc Jacobs X Peseta Sailor Backpacks are fashioned from the finest Spanish fabrics and are offered in three bright and summery colors and patterns.

That, along with having an anchor stamped to the bottom of each bag, pretty much secures the bag a title of being effortlessly chic. No doubt, the sailor bags will be the hot ticket in making you look like you just came from a leisurely boating trip.  And speaking of boats, wouldn't these be the perfect item to bring with you on a luxury cruise?

Marc Jacobs X Peseta Sailor BackpackNo matter if you're on a yacht or just going to lunch with your friends down the street, these summer striped bags are a definite must-have!

And at the price of $165? I say yes, please!

I would wear my backpack slung over the shoulder with a little, white boat neck dress. Or maybe even wide-legged trousers? Just be sure not to overdo the nautical wear, otherwise you'll like you're headed to a costume party!

Less is more, and I'm sure you're going to want to make your sailor bag the statement piece in your outfit!

Deo Perfume Candy Releases Fragrance Through The Skin

The Bulgarian confectionery company Alpi and Beneo have created an innovative concoction called Deo Perfume Candy,  an edible candy that acts as a fragrance by working from the inside out.

How can candy work as a perfume, you ask?

It's quite simple, really. According to Alpi, Deo Perfume Candy is comprised of rose oil components in the form of an ingredient called geraniol, which is an anti-oxidant liquid found in flowers. By eating their sweet and tasty candy, the oils from the confectionery treats eventually seep out of your skin and give off an intoxicating, rosy odor.

The product is found strictly on European shelves at the moment and is the result of Alpi and Beneo's R&D program, which helps candy manufacturers invent healthy alternatives to their sweets. To prevent a rise in sugar levels, Alpi uses a natural replacement called isomalt. On top of being sugar free, the candies are also packed with anti-aging properties and loads of Vitamin C.

Using candy as a substitute for perfume is becoming the new hot beauty trend overseas. Even Japan has hopped on board with a chewing gum that acts in a similar way to the Alpi Perfume Candy.

So far, there are the only two products of their kind.

What do you think? Would you eat the Deo Perfume Candy?

Given the chance, I think I would actually give this a go. It always seems next to impossible to find a perfume that sticks for more than an hour, and even more so to inconspicuously spritz up throughout the day.

The Alpi Deo Perfume Candy could be the ultimate solution to all your perfume worries. You can just pop one in your mouth whenever a touch up is needed, and nonchalantly go about your day smelling like a rose garden.

Look Alikes: Michael Kors Fringe Hobo vs. Donald J Piner Natah Hobo

Isn't it a downer when you see a cute purse and just know that it was meant to be?  But reality kicks in when you look at the price tag and you know that you’d never be able to afford it.

Sometimes funding gets in the way of your fashion fate.  And that's why MO created look alikes, my friends.

Take this lovely Michael Kors fringe bag, for instance. How can one not want this fringed-out boho-chic accessory? As much as we love the bag, unfortunately, most of us don’t have a spare $900 to spend on a single purse.

But all is not lost.

Thankfully, there are more fringe purses out there that aspire to be like the Michael Kors bag. Out of all of them, the Donald J Piner Natah Hobo bag wins as the best look alike. Slightly more affordable at $265, it looks almost exactly like the Michael Kors fringe bag!

Now you can add to your ever growing purse collection without the guilt.

A. Turen: Classic Rock Revamped

Ashley Turen Bon Jovi Shirt

You may feel like you just time traveled back to the 1980's when walking into Ashley Turen's boutique, located on the Lower East side of New York.

Imagine a collection of old metallic jackets, vests, pants, ripped up denim shorts, and an abundance of hot leather mini-skirts.

Now, imagine the collection bespattered in paint, cut up, shredded, ripped, dipped, and incorporating mixed objects into the design.

That is the idea behind the A. Turen line.

Turen has a magical ability to re-construct these vintage styles into one-of-a-kind psychedelic pieces.

By use of only a pair of scissors, a paint brush, and random items like buttons, lace, or antique broaches, Turen is able give these otherwise simple styles an electric intensity without an equal.

Ashley Turen Bon Jovi ShirtFor example,  she’s successfully taken concert t-shirts like Bon Jovi and Led Zeppelin (my favorites) and have given them complete rock star makeovers by cutting out their shoulders and adding blots of hot pink paint.

Her use of metallic material makes her collection reminiscent of a watercolor painting.

And her miniskirts? They will have you feeling like one of those badass chicks from the 80's hair band videos.

Each piece within the collection is hand-made by Turen and she specializes in customizing - you can tell her exactly what you want done.

My next trip?

Hauling all of my mom's old 80's clothes up to New York with me and giving them a one-of-a-kind A. Turen makeover!

Top Earners In The World of Supermodels

In the world of supermodels, there are only a few who earn top dollar.

Everyone knows them. We all see them in the magazines, on the runways, and on television. We envy their flawless head-to-toe looks and secretly wish we could be them.

But how much money do these beauties make? Does it really pay to be beautiful?

According to Forbes, the top ten earners in the modeling industry are Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, Kate Moss, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Daria Werbowy, Lara Stone, Carolyn Murphy, Natalia Vodianova, and Candice Swanepoel. Combined, these top ten made roughly about $112 million this year.

Of the top ten earners, Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, and Kate Moss make the top three.

Out of the three, Gisele is by far the highest grossing top model on earth earning $45 million a year… And for good reasons! This top model has made a move off the runway and into the business world to prove she is not just a pretty face. She's a mogul who has made herself into a brand name, contracted with Pantene, and has multiple endorsements.

Heidi Klum ranks in second place with a whopping $20 million, followed by Kate Moss, who earned $13.5 million in the last year.

Number 10 earner?

Candice Swanepoel at $3 million.

Although it’s fair to say that, Bundchen, Klum, and Moss have been in this industry for a very long time, which is part of the reason why they are at the top.

Stone (grossing $4.5 million) and Swanepoel are both brand new to the list, recently replacing new moms Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes.

Who made Forbes World's Top-Earning Models list?

Check out the list below (what, no Tyra?)

Gisele Bundchen $45 million
Heidi Klum $20 million
Kate Moss $13.5 million
Adriana Lima $8 million
Alessandra Ambrosio $5 million
Daria Werbowy $4.5 million
Lara Stone $4.5 million

Five Flirty Floral Dresses for Summer

Blu Moon Summer Lovin Dress in Ditsy White Floral
Blu Moon Summer Lovin Dress in Ditsy White Floral {Details}

Summer means lots of things. It means magical parties on humid nights, long walks down the beach, and lounging around in the park on hot days.

And what better to do all of those activities in than a floral dress?

Summer isn't really my favorite season, but there is just something about these dresses that makes me semi okay with the searing heat.

They are light and airy, and come in a variety of different styles so that you can wear one every day of the week.

My favorite part is the little flowers, they make you feel so cute that you just want to skip around in a big, green field.

They are definitely the girly-girl's BFF, making you look sexy and irresistibly adorable at the same time!

The sun isn't getting any cooler, people! But don't let that hold you back, rock your floral dresses this season. Because they are way too pretty to be kept indoors.

This Summer's Hottest Beauty Trends

This Summer's Hottest beauty Trends

I predict that this summer we will all be stripped nude, shattered, and tattooed--all done with...temporary tattoos and nail polish.

Sounds exciting, no? If yes, then I have a hot treat for you!

Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos

Violent Lips

I am not a big fan of tattoos, but when I heard about the Violent Lips temporary lip tattoos I was intrigued. Turns out, I LOVE tattoos in the form of glitter, cheetah, rainbow, and fishnets! They don't chip or leave awful lipstick rings on your drink, and you don't have to worry about having them smudge your front teeth. They're like Sally Hansen nail strips for your lips.

Violent LipsThe lip tattoos pretty much work like the fake tattoos we all played with as kids. You match the strips up with your top and bottom lips. Then, cut at the lines where your mouth ends (each strip has handy lines you can pinch so you know exactly where to cut), hold them against your mouth with water, gently peel away, and voila! No mess, no pain of a needle, and they are 100 percent temporary. To remove them all you have to do scrub away.

These are not for the faint of heart. You need some balls to wear bright, colorful rainbows all over your lips. They come in packs of three on the for only $15.

Sally Hanson Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips

Sally Hanson Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips

Speaking of Sally Hanson nail strips, have I mentioned how absolutely amazing their new nail product is? An at home DIY, less expensive version of Minx nails, their Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips are perfect for when you're running late and don't have time to wait for nail polish to dry! When I first saw them in the beauty aisle, I came home with a box of each and spent the entire day playing with them. Needless to say, I was in heaven and my nails had an interesting kaleidoscope of leopard, giraffe, fishnet, flowers, and zebra prints.

I can't help but feel the same urge to go and buy their entire Spring collection featuring prints such as the nautical Ay-Ay Captain and, my favorite, the hot pink leopard print titled Don't Get Catty (which satisfies my animal print fetish).

I found that these nail strips are surprisingly easy to put on with no dry time whatsoever! Each strip is sized according to each finger. You pick out the correct size, and pull off the protective film. From there, you press the nail strip down with the cuticle stick (included in pack) so that it perfectly lines up with your nail. File off the excess and add a few top coats for extra shine. And, to ensure maximum universality, the strips have both a rounded and a spared end so that you won't have a problem matching them to your cuticle line.

Sally Hansen nail strips are inexpensive--only $9 for a pack of sixteen, and can be found at Target, or any drug store near you.

OPI Shatter Nail PolishOPI Shatter Nail Polish

Hello Harry Potter!

I believe in magic after trying OPI's Shatter nail polish. It's so much fun to watch the top coat dry and instantly crackle over your nail. I fell in love with this line when Katy Perry designed her Shatter colors, and was terribly sad to see that it was a limited edition.

But fret not, OPI has come out with four new colors for Serena Williams's "Glam Slam! France" collection featuring colors all in various shades of blue.

All are to be released this coming May and June. The "Glam Slam! France" collection is possibly my favorite out of them all. I can't wait to pair together the White Shatter with the oh-so sparkly Spark de Triomph.

The application process is simple, but if you’re impatient, like me, it can be a bit of a wait.

There are two lacquers, one is the base and the other is the "shatter." In the Serena Williams collection the Spark de Triomph is the base coat. Apply two coats (you don't have to worry about being neat as most of this will be covered) and let it dry completely. This is where the wait comes in, but if you can manage to get pass those few minutes, you will then apply one coat of White Shatter and watch it work its magic. Afterwards, I suggest using a top coat as this polish will dry very matte.

Because this is a limited edition line, OPI Shatter can be found at most of your local salons for a $6.

Jason Wu Nail Polish Set

Jason Wu Nail PolishIf you're looking for something a little less funky and more neutral, then CND's Jason Wu collection is perfect for you. Comprised of four neutral shades, Brigitte (mauve), Sophia (mocha), Veronica (garnet), and Wu's signature color, Miss Wu (limestone). There also is a top coat called Anna. These colors will be great when you need to tone it down and hide your wild lip-tattooed side while you're at work!

To get the best look, I suggest applying a base coat and two coats of your desired color. This set comes with a top coat that has tiny fibers in it, which causes it to dry matte, and gives a "tweed" kind of look to the nail. I suggest only adding one coat of this.

Jason Wu's nail set retails for about $47 and can be found at various department stores, or at

Current Obsession: Tahiti Feather Sandals by Dior

Have you ever been so obsessed with a piece of clothing that, instead of working, you find yourself distractedly staring at its picture?

That's how I have been ever since I saw these Christian Dior Tahiti Feather Sandals in Harper's Bazaar.  The feather sandals are so eccentric and I can't help but sit here and daydream about running around in them on an island surrounded by palm trees and pretty colors.

But, sadly I do not have a beautiful island to frolic around on, so I would probably wear these with something a bit more monochromatic.

Since these shoes are so intense, they would best be paired with a simple little black dress and a few bangle bracelets. Island or not, that outfit would make you the center of attention wherever you go!

And you don't have to conform to just that one outfit, either. The Tahiti Feather sandals come in multiple neon colors like electric blue and canary yellow. If I could, I would own every, single pair.

Seriously, I could be in danger of flying away with all my feathery accessories; Feathers in my hair (thank you Steven Tyler)…in my ears…on my neck…and now my shoes.

I am completely, and utterly, infatuated with the brilliant insanity of the Christian Dior Tahiti Feather Sandals. The feathers, the multiple straps, the crazy bright colors!

(Dramatic sigh.)

I think I'm in love. Oh Dior, you have stolen my heart away with your shoes. The only thing that could possibly make them better would be sparkly studs, my other current obsession.

But, then again, I might die of sheer happiness if that were the case!

Jeffrey Campbell and Wasteland's Catch Boot Collaboration

Boots and summer don't usually mix well. And every summer,  I grieve when I have to bid farewell to beloved booties.

Really, it just breaks my heart to have to push them to the back of my closet for an entire season!

But perhaps there IS a solution...

Jeffrey Campbell, who happens to be one of my favorite shoe designers, and the West Coast vintage store Wasteland, have combined their brilliant minds to create the ultimate shoe for summer: The Catch Boot.

For years, I have prayed for something like this to come along.

And Campbell and Wasteland, you have answered those prayers with your mesh netted, vanilla cream shoes.

They will keep me cool on the balmiest of nights, and I can wear them with just about anything thanks to the architectural heel and neutral color.

I'll  be sure to pair with a floral dress or romper for daytime fun-in-the-sun antics, and a dreamy, white maxi dress complete with over-sized hat and sunglasses for evening beach parties.

It’s safe to say that these 1990-inspired original shoes are going to be a hit this summer.

Looks Under $100: Chloe Sevigny's Summery White Lace Tunic by Shumaq

Heads up!

Chloë Sevigny has shed her winter coat and replaced it with a billowy cream, lace dress by Shumaq. She looked effortlessly ready for summer when she arrived at the Chanel Tribeca Film Festival Dinner at the Odeon in New York City.

Why We're Obsessed: Needless to say, Chloe's look was utterly flawless that night, and will be a head turning look for the summer. The dress casually floats about her waist and arms, and the see-through lace allows for a mysterious, yet alluring silhouette of her enviable frame.

But, before the outfit can get too romantic, Chloe daringly mixes in a pair of chunky, black ankle boots, giving this ethereal piece a rather ballsy punk-rock edge.

I am envious of her ability to tie everything together with a pair of bright, red lips and simple quilted Chanel shoulder purse.

How to Get This Look for Under $100: Thanks to the oncoming summer heat, you can be sure that similar billowing dresses will be running rampant throughout designer's 2011 ready-to-wear summer collections. And with these fabulous look alikes, you can have Chloe's look without emptying your pockets.

Total Cost to Our Look: $90

Current Obsessions: Gypsy Inspired Evil Eye Jewelry

The first time that I saw evil eye jewelry was in a sketchy gift shop down at the docks. I went mad for their tribal charms and hunted stores until I came across Blee Inara, a designer that specializes in turning her necklaces, bracelets and anklets completely evil.

(Cue the scary music.)

The term “evil eye” is a misnomer. The jewelry is used in different religions around the world to keep harmful people out of their lives (like ex-boyfriends, frenemies…mother-in-laws).

And being a superstitious person myself, who believes in negative energy and karma, I plan to cover myself neck to ankle with these suckers!

Seriously, what woman could turn down a chic accessory that wards off evil?

With charms in the shapes of pyramids, Hamsa hands, and peace signs, Inara’s jewelry creates a feeling of bliss and harmony.

I’ll be putting in a massive order. I have my "eye" on the 18k gold plated gypsy-inspired ring, complete with multiple tinkling charms.

Of course I wouldn't be able to keep it for very long. My friends would take it away from me after fifteen minutes of jingling. But at least I’ll have fifteen minutes to ward of bad karma.

Think You’re a Size Zero? Think Again

My Best Fit Kiosk Scan

I remember the good ole days when you could walk into a store, know your size, buy a pair of pants, and leave.

However, these days, I find myself trying on dresses between a zero and an eight, depending on the brand I’m wearing.

Known in the industry as “vanity sizing”, a.k.a, self esteem boosters or down-right liars, the practice of vanity sizing has led fragile consumers to believe that they are a size four when they are actually a size 14.

The practice has gotten so way out of hand that there is a new free service from MyBestFit which  has created a special "body-imaging" kiosk that are installed in malls to help the hopelessly, confused shopper.

I don't know about you, but I never, ever want to know the circumference of my thighs.

But good luck to the brave soul out there that does.

The kiosk is super easy to use. It scans you just like one of those oh so fun full body scanners at the airport, except without the pointing and jeering of airport security. You step in, enter your body statistics, and within ten minutes you have a complete list of brands that fit you and your body type.

How truly depressing that we need to get all Star Trek to get our sizes in each store. Why can’t we just standardize these sizes, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, H&M???

We’re a nation of strong women, after all. (Though honestly, I really don't care what size I am so long as the number stays below four.)

In the meantime, malls, please consider putting a MyBestTherapist booth right next to the MyBestFit kiosk to help the extreme emotional breakdowns of women at the mall.

Current Obsession: Glue Cinderella Plastic Ballet Flats by Kartell

Kartell Ballet Flats

Let's face it girls, rain boots can be cute on occasion but they don't go with everything.

And any shoe that evokes the word "sensible"  usually suffers from ugly shoe syndrome. But what if I told you that there is a practical shoe that is actually cute.

Yes, that's right, cute.

They're called plastic ballet flats by Kartell and are super adorable as well as a lifesaver when you don't feel like dodging puddles just to get to your car.

These versatile shoes—a crossbreed between galoshes and ballet flats—are completely waterproof and 100 percent fashion friendly. Because they come in just about every style, color, and print imaginable, matching your rain flats to your outfit will never be a problem.
