You heard right! The world renowned Cannes Film Festival, held annually in May, will now be running alongside a recently announced Cannes Fashion Festival.
The fashion festival will take place from May 20-22 during the well-established film festival. As if the beautiful garments already seen on your favorite celebs at the festival weren’t enough!
Couture, lingerie, sportswear, swimwear, and men’s/women’s accessories are just a few of the categories that are set to be highlighted at the three-day event.
Designers will have the chance to show off their work in catwalk fashion shows and also mingle with their peers at official receptions.
Fashion is not necessarily a new concept to the Cannes crowd, the red carpets during the festival are some of the most photographed in the world. The new festival will only further solidify an already longstanding relationship between fashion and film at Cannes.
The festival will be held at Salon Croisette in the Hotel Majestic Barrière and will be streamed live online so you can watch (enviously) from the comfort of your own home!
