NARS is has always been a backstage Fashion Week heavyweight, and this year was no exception. Models walking the Fall/Winter runway for Rachel Comey, Tanya Taylor, Creatures of the Wind and more were treated to clean, barely-there beauty looks, all with skin as the primary focus.
It’s the best kind of runway beauty — all of these looks can be worn in real life! Here are three of our favorites, and what you need to recreate them.
RACHEL COMEY
It’s no wonder lead makeup artist Maud Laceppe cites moisturizer as the key to great makeup. For Rachel Comey, she created glowing, dewy faces with “almost wet” skin that looked healthy, fresh, and effortless.

TANYA TAYLOR
Glowing skin was also in over at Tanya Taylor, where international lead stylist Uzo added just a hint of rose-pink hue to the lips, eyes and cheeks. Her goal? To create a look that’s “runway to the real world.” Plus, the understated, muted faces perfectly complimented the collection’s bold and graphic prints.

CREATURES OF THE WIND
According to NARS Director of Global Artistry James Boehmer, this collection was inspired by “’Americana’ — a mash-up of the 1920s, 60s and 70s.” To create a complimentary makeup look, Boehmer created pale-matte faces, dark and deliberate lashes, and glossy, brushed brows. Think Studio 54-era Angelica Houston.
